HotSpot Inc. (“HotSpot,” “we,” “us”) operates this listing-verification SMS program. This program is only for people who start a Claim a listing request at https://hotspot-us.com/claim.html. It is a one-time identity check that a person can receive a code at the phone number already published on the Google listing for that business. These messages do not sell, advertise, or promote any product.

What we collect for this program

Name and email you type on https://hotspot-us.com/claim.html
The business listing you selected
The phone number already published on that Google listing (you type it to confirm you know it; we still send only to that published number)
That you are 21 or older and that you asked for a verification text

We use this information only to send the verification code, confirm the code, email a continue link, and prevent abuse. We do not use this SMS program to send marketing, deals, or recurring texts.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency: one verification text per request, plus one more text only if you tap Resend. Message and data rates may apply.

Who can receive messages

You must confirm you are 21 years of age or older on the claim form before we send a text. This program is for business-listing owners and authorized staff, not for the general public.
